Nigerian music sensation Davido is taking legal action against a media outlet for spreading false information about him being arrested in Kenya.

The April Fool’s joke that claimed cocaine was found on his private jet has caused Davido to speak out against the irresponsible reporting.

The 31-year-old singer, who recently completed a successful East African tour, took to social media to set the record straight.

He adamantly stated that he has never been arrested in any country for any crime. The fake news story, originally published by K24 TV in Kenya, quickly went viral, prompting Kenya’s Directorate of Criminal Investigations to label it as “Fake News.”

Davido expressed his disappointment in the prank, emphasizing the seriousness of fabricating such international crimes.

He reassured his fans that he had completed his shows in Uganda and Kenya without any issues and had safely returned home to Nigeria. Despite the backlash, Davido remains determined to seek legal recourse against the responsible media parties.

While K24 TV has not responded to Davido’s legal actions, many Kenyans have criticized the prank as inappropriate.

However, some are hopeful that the situation can be resolved amicably. As Davido continues to focus on his music career, he is committed to holding accountable those who spread false and damaging information about him.
