Federal investigators are ramping up their probe into music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, with accusers set to testify before a federal grand jury in New York City. The US Justice Department is reportedly moving towards seeking an indictment of Combs, as potential witnesses have been notified about their upcoming testimony.

This development marks a significant escalation in the ongoing investigation involving Combs, who has been named in eight civil lawsuits since November. Seven of these lawsuits directly accuse him of sexual assault, while one involves his son Christian Combs being accused of sexual assault, with Sean Combs allegedly aiding and abetting.

The Homeland Security Investigations agency declined to comment on the existence of a grand jury but confirmed that the investigation is ongoing. Investigators are currently gathering evidence and questioning sources as part of their federal probe into Combs.

The use of a grand jury indicates that the case has progressed beyond the preliminary stage, where investigators assess if any violations of the law have occurred. This investigative tool allows prosecutors to approve subpoenas for documents and witnesses and vote on whether to file criminal charges against suspects.

Federal agents have interviewed multiple accusers of Combs and have obtained video footage from inside his residences. The investigation, which initially focused on sexual assault allegations, has expanded to include sex trafficking, money laundering, and illegal drugs.

Accusers have been actively cooperating with investigators, providing evidence they believe may be useful in the probe. Some individuals have been questioned multiple times, with new witnesses being brought in for questioning.

In recent lawsuits, Combs has been accused of drugging multiple accusers, with allegations of non-consensual recording of sexual encounters. Combs has vehemently denied these claims, stating that the allegations are fabricated and motivated by financial gain.

The investigation is ongoing, with federal agents “digging deeper” to uncover more evidence. Despite the mounting allegations, Combs and his legal team have not responded to specific accusations in some of the recent lawsuits filed against him.

As the investigation progresses, the spotlight remains on Combs and the serious allegations leveled against him. Accusers continue to cooperate with federal agents, providing crucial information that could potentially lead to further legal action against the music mogul.
