Jill Duggar is famous for her time in the spotlight, but she has made a conscious effort to keep her children out of the public eye.
Since marrying Derick Dillard in 2014, the couple has welcomed three children into the world.
Their eldest son, Israel David, was born in April 2015. The name Israel holds special meaning for the couple, as it was where Derick bought Jill’s engagement ring. In July 2017, they welcomed their second child, another boy named Samuel Scott.
Tragically, in 2021, Jill and Derick announced they had experienced a miscarriage with their third child, whom they had named River Bliss. The following year, they welcomed their third son, Frederick Michael.
However, in April 2024, the couple shared the heartbreaking news of a stillbirth of their beautiful baby girl, Isla Marie Dillard. Jill and Derick had been eagerly anticipating expanding their family once again.
Jill and Derick tied the knot in June 2014 at the Cross Church in Springdale, Arkansas, in a ceremony attended by 1000 of their friends and family. The couple’s first kiss was shared at their wedding, as they chose to save the physical side of their marriage for that special day.
Although the couple initially starred in the reality TV show Counting On, they left in 2017 to pursue their own goals. Jill later revealed that she felt taken advantage of and unfairly compensated during her time on the show. The pressures of reality TV also took a toll on their marriage.
