Ghanaian actress and media personality, Nana Ama McBrown, has commended musician Medikal for his successful sold-out concert at the prestigious Indigo O2 in the United Kingdom on May 3, 2024. McBrown, who initially had doubts about the turnout for the event, shared that she prayed fervently for Medikal’s success.
During a conversation with the rapper on Onua TV, McBrown expressed her anxiety leading up to the show, stating, “Let me congratulate you. I was anxious during your [Indigo] O2 show, yet you managed to break the record. I prayed for divine assistance, and seeing the auditorium packed while you delivered an exceptional performance was exactly what Ghanaians hoped for. God bless you.”
Medikal, appreciative of McBrown’s kind words, responded by saying, “I appreciate your comments a lot, may God bless you too.”
The concert, which had a seating capacity of approximately 2,800, was announced as sold out just before it began. Prior to Medikal’s performance, other artists like Article Wan entertained the audience, keeping the energy high with popular Ghanaian tracks.
Medikal took the stage an hour and 40 minutes into the event, performing his hit songs alongside top Ghanaian artists such as Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Jay Bhad, Bisa Kdei, and Efya. Even his ex-girlfriend, Sister Derby, made a surprise appearance.
The successful evening marked Medikal’s inclusion in an elite group with Sarkodie, as the only Ghanaian rappers to have sold out the Indigo O2.
