Entertainment pundit Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, has come to the defense of Agriculture Minister Bryan Acheampong after he received backlash for his recent remarks about withholding power from the NDC.

Acheampong made it clear that the NPP has no intentions of ceding power to the NDC in the upcoming 2024 general elections.

Speaking at a health walk in Kwahu, the Abetifi MP emphasized his doubts about the NDC’s ability to win elections and questioned their relentless pursuit of power.

Despite facing criticism for his comments, A Plus took to Facebook to support Acheampong’s statements.

He explained that the minister was simply stating the reality of politics – if you don’t win an election, you won’t come to power. A Plus urged party members to work hard, ensure funds reach the grassroots, and avoid engaging in corrupt practices that could lead to election rigging.

The social commentator’s defense of Acheampong’s remarks has sparked a debate among Ghanaians.
