I pay the market women who feature in my dance videos – Official Starter

Renowned dancer and content creator Ernest Raja Nettey, also known as Official Starter, is setting a new standard in the industry by compensating all market women who collaborate with him for his viral dance videos.

During a recent Pulse Chat Session at the African Music Business Dialogue, Official Starter highlighted the importance of recognizing the contributions of these women and compensating them for their efforts.

He pointed out that these market women, despite not being professional dancers, play a vital role in his content creation process.

Acknowledging the unique challenges of working with non-professional dancers, Official Starter explained that choreographing dances with market women requires more time and effort compared to working with professional dancers.

While it may take only 10 minutes to create a choreography with a professional dancer, it could take 2 to 3 hours with market women.

By compensating these women for their time and contribution, Official Starter is not only valuing their work but also setting a positive example for others in the industry.

His commitment to fair compensation and recognition of the efforts of all collaborators, regardless of their background, is commendable and sets a new standard for content creators in Ghana.
