Renowned broadcaster Kwami Sefa Kayi has refuted claims suggesting that he has any ownership stake in the Despite Media Group.

In a recent interview on Joy Prime’s Prime Morning show, Sefa Kayi clarified that he is merely an employee of the company, despite his influential role both on and off the radio.

Addressing the rumors circulating about his alleged ownership of shares in the media group, Sefa Kayi attributed the spread of such misinformation to Ghanaians’ penchant for gossip without verifying the facts.

He emphasized, “We like to gossip. We like to say things we have absolutely no idea about and pass them off as truth. And we’ll swear that we were there or we heard or we know.”

Despite being recognized for his years of experience and dedication to the Peace FM station, Sefa Kayi stressed that he does not hold any shares in the company.

He shared an anecdote about a colleague who likened him to Lionel Messi within the organization, reflecting his significant contributions over the years.
