Ghanaian music producer and sound engineer, Forqzy Beatz, has recently made headlines for his ambitious attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the Longest Recording Marathon with multiple artists.
The event, known as ‘Rec-A-Thon,’ kicked off on March 21, 2024, at Tema Community 1 with the goal of recording over 200 artists within a span of 100 hours.
Despite facing initial challenges such as disruptions caused by rain, Forqzy Beatz and his team pressed on and managed to record 108 artists, surpassing the previous record of 40 hours and 19 minutes held by Nigerian actor and entrepreneur Hawwal Ogungbadero. The support from artists like Keche Global also played a significant role in the success of the endeavor.
However, after 75 hours of non-stop recording, Forqzy Beatz decided to halt the attempt due to exhaustion. “The physical and mental toll of the marathon had taken its toll, leading to the unanimous agreement to conclude the attempt at the 75th-hour mark,” explained a member of Forqzy Beatz’s team.
Although falling short of the 100-hour target, Forqzy Beatz’s determination and commitment to pushing boundaries in the music industry have garnered admiration and respect from fans and fellow artists alike.
While the Guinness World Record may have remained out of reach this time, Forqzy Beatz has undoubtedly left a mark on the music scene with his passion and perseverance.
