Ghanaian international Kamaldeen Sulemana is set to make a comeback for Southampton ahead of their upcoming match against Huddersfield in the English Skybet Championship.
Sulemana has been out of action since last December after sustaining an injury during a game against Bristol City. His absence also meant that he missed out on playing for Ghana at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, where the team unfortunately was eliminated in the group stages.
However, ahead of the game against Huddersfield, Southampton’s head coach Russell Martin has confirmed that Sulemana is fit and ready to play.
The 22-year-old forward trained with the rest of the team on Friday, indicating that he is prepared to make his return to the pitch.
Despite his injury, Sulemana has managed to make 13 appearances for Southampton and has contributed three assists. The team currently sits in 2nd place on the Championship league log with 61 points and will be looking to continue their strong form against Huddersfield.
The match between Southampton and Huddersfield is scheduled to take place at Saints Mary’s at 15:00GMT. Fans will be hoping to see Sulemana back in action and making an impact for his team as they push for promotion to the Premier League.
