Patrice Motsepe, the President of CAF, has expressed his pride in Nigeria’s performance in the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, hailing the Super Eagles’ journey to the final

Nigeria is gearing up to face Ivory Coast in the highly anticipated final, and Motsepe’s words underscore his deep appreciation for the team’s skills on the field.

These sentiments echo his earlier praise for Nigeria, which he expressed during the prestigious CAF Awards ceremony in Morocco last December.

“I am the president of 54 football nations, I love everyone but I must say that I am very proud of Nigeria,” Motsepe stated.

“When I said ‘the beautiful country of Nigeria’ to Osimhen while presenting the Player of the Year, people told me I shouldn’t have said it because they were going to become even more beautiful,” he added.

Nigeria will face host country Ivory Coast on Sunday, February 11th, 2024, at the Stade Olympique Alassane Ouattara.
