King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s coronation as king and queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth countries is the most anticipated event globally. The highly anticipated ceremony has been scheduled to happen this weekend in the United Kingdom.

A number of international dignitaries, politicians, public figures, and monarchs are expected to grace the occasion. Citizens of the United Kingdom and tourists won’t be left out of this special occasion.

King Charles coronation schedule: date, venue, time

The ceremony will happen at Westminster Abbey in London on Saturday, May 6, 2023. It will kick off at around 11 am London time (GMT).

For those in the United States of America, the event will start at 6 am Eastern time and 3 am Pacific time.

Is King Charles coronation a public and bank holiday?

Since the coronation falls on a Saturday, the bank holiday will be pushed to Monday, May 8, 2023. Thus, Monday will be marked as a public holiday.

Who will perform at King Charles’ coronation?

There will be a tall list of super-star performers at King Charles’ coronation service. Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, Andrea Bocelli, Sir Bryn Terfel, Take That, Freya Ridings, and Alexis Ffrench are among the list of musicians booked to perform.
