Kanye West sued for harassment by ex-assistant

Renowned rapper Kanye West is currently embroiled in a legal battle as he faces a lawsuit for sexual harassment, breach of contract, and wrongful termination. The lawsuit was filed by Lauren Pisciotta, who worked as West’s assistant for two years.

In the lawsuit, Pisciotta alleges that West sent her lewd texts, performed sex acts while on the phone with her, and failed to pay her a $3 million severance package after firing her in 2022. The BBC reached out to West’s lawyer for a response to these allegations, but as of now, no response has been received.

The lawsuit, which was first reported by TMZ and later confirmed by Rolling Stone, The Wrap, and US Weekly, states that Pisciotta initially supported herself through an OnlyFans profile when she met West in 2021. She was hired to work on the first season of West’s Yeezy women’s fashion line and collaborated on tracks from his Donda album. Despite not having formal credits on the record, West later hired Pisciotta as his personal assistant with an annual salary of $1 million.

According to the lawsuit, West initially allowed Pisciotta to continue her OnlyFans business. However, in 2022, he allegedly demanded that she delete her account in exchange for an additional $1 million.

After complying with this request, Pisciotta claims she received explicit text messages, pornographic videos, and experienced inappropriate behavior from West, including him masturbating in her presence.

Pisciotta was later promoted to Chief of Staff for West’s various companies but was abruptly fired shortly after. She alleges that her severance package was never paid, and in addition to the initial allegations, she is also suing West and his businesses for fraud, unpaid wages, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

This is not the first time West has faced accusations of lewd behavior. In the past, employees of his Yeezy fashion line claimed he played pornographic films during staff meetings and showed intimate photographs during job interviews.

West has not responded to these allegations and has faced other legal challenges this year, including accusations of racial discrimination, harassment, and copyright infringement.
