English Championship side, Swansea City, has successfully reached an agreement with Arsenal to secure the services of 19-year-old Ghanaian forward Charles Sagoe Jr on loan. The move is aimed at providing Sagoe Jr with regular playing time to aid in his development as a player.
Prior to finalizing the deal with Arsenal, a number of clubs in the English lower-tier league had expressed interest in the talented teenager. However, Swansea City ultimately emerged victorious in the pursuit and is now focused on completing the deal within the next 24 hours, before the closure of the January transfer window deadline.
All necessary agreements are in place for Sagoe Jr to join Swansea City on a short-term loan, with the formalities of the move expected to be completed within the next day.
In a tweet by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, it was revealed that Sagoe Jr will be signing for Swansea on Deadline Day, with the relationship between the two clubs remaining strong following Arsenal’s previous deal involving Patino last summer.
Commenting on the move, the young forward expressed his excitement at the opportunity to showcase his talents at Swansea City and make a positive impression during his time at the club.
