Nigerian singer, Tekno, has released a new song and music video in collaboration with emPawa Africa. The upcoming track, titled ‘Wayo’, focuses on themes of love, resilience, and community.
The music video, set in the vibrant city of Lagos, captures the essence and energy of the bustling metropolis. Featuring scenes from busy streets, food trucks, and rooftops of Lagos Island, the video showcases the urban backdrop while telling a compelling story of love and unity.
The storyline follows a couple, Tekno and Uzoamaka, as they navigate through the ups and downs of their relationship, ultimately overcoming a major misunderstanding with the support of their community. The video celebrates the human spirit, forgiveness, and the power of coming together as a community.
Directed by the talented Dammy Twitch, founder of Polar Films Production, the video was a collaborative effort with local actors and crew working tirelessly to bring the project to life. Dammy Twitch, known for his work with major brands such as Google, Infinix, Tecno Mobile, and Coca-Cola, has also directed music videos for renowned artists like Davido, Da Baby, Omah Lay, and Simi.
