Alice Stewart’s family and colleagues pay tribute to acts of kindness

Tributes have been pouring in for Alice Stewart, the CNN commentator who was found dead in her home on Saturday morning.

Many have expressed their condolences for the republican correspondent who passed away suddenly at the age of 58 in her Virginia home.

A cause of death has not yet been determined, however, police do not suspect foul play.

Officials believe that Stewart may have suffered a medical emergency, as reported by CNN.

Stewart’s sister-in-law, Vikki Fraker, took to social media to share the news of Stewart’s sudden passing.

“To our wonderful farm community, Eric’s sister Alice Stewart passed away suddenly Friday night. We are heartbroken. Thank you for keeping Eric, Andrea, and Heather in your prayers,” she wrote on Instagram.

Stewart began her career as a local TV anchor before transitioning into politics, where she became a communications director for former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee.

She worked on various political campaigns and eventually joined CNN during the presidential campaign in 2016.

On Saturday, CNN released a statement expressing their sorrow over Stewart’s passing.

CNN Chairman Mark Thompson mentioned, “Alice was a friend and colleague to all of us at CNN. A political veteran and an Emmy Award-winning journalist who brought an incomparable spark to CNN’s coverage, known across our bureaus not only for her political savvy, but for her unwavering kindness. Our hearts are heavy as we mourn such an extraordinary loss.”

Douglas Heye, a former deputy chief of staff, shared a heartfelt message about the importance of kindness after Stewart’s tragic death. He emphasized the significance of small gestures that will have a lasting impact.

Colleagues, including Ted Cruz, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Keith Boykin, expressed their shock and sadness over the news of Stewart’s passing.

Governor Chris Christie also sent his condolences to Stewart’s family and friends.

Fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts and condolences for the late commentator, remembering her as a shining personality in the world of political news.
