Sad news has been confirmed regarding Sister Wives star Garrison Brown’s tragic death by suicide, which occurred over two months ago. The son of Kody and Janelle, Garrison took his own life at 25 years old at his home in Flagstaff, Arizona, on March 4, 2024.
After confirming that the police investigation had concluded and ruled Garrison’s passing as suicide, the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office finalized its investigation on April 30.
In the autopsy report released to the public, it was disclosed that Garrison’s death was a result of a gunshot wound to the head and was classified as suicide. The report also revealed that his toxicology analysis showed positive for ethanol intoxication (alcohol poisoning) at 0.307% and caffeine, while testing negative for drugs.
The medical examiner noted that Garrison had a history of chronic migraines and pre-diabetes. A private funeral was held on March 9, with a memorial service following two weeks later in Las Vegas to honor the memory of the late army veteran, who was a former Staff Sergeant in the Army National Guard. The family came together to pay their respects, including Kody, Robyn, Christine, Meri, and others.
Garrison’s 26th birthday was on April 10, 2024, and Janelle paid tribute to her son through an Instagram post featuring memories from past celebrations. She expressed her deep feelings of missing him and the pain of his absence, mentioning the special bond they shared.
Janelle also vowed to focus more on her children in the wake of the tragedy, making a commitment to check in with each of them regularly. She shares other children with ex Kody, including Logan, Maddie, Hunter, Gabe, and Savanah. Janelle mentioned plans to spend the summer in North Carolina with her daughter Maddie and her husband Caleb Brush.
Gabe found Garrison’s body in their Flagstaff home on the morning of March 5. According to the police report, Gabe revealed that his brother had been dealing with mental health issues and alcohol abuse.
Police interviewed Garrison’s mom, Janelle, and his roommates Tyler, Cheyenne, and Addison, who shared insights into the events leading up to the tragedy. Addison stated their previous conversations about Garrison’s depression and alcohol consumption, revealing that he appeared intoxicated the night before his death.
