A newly surfaced 2016 surveillance video obtained by CNN has shed light on the violent altercation between music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs and his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.
The video shows Combs grabbing, shoving, dragging, and kicking Ventura during an incident that aligns with allegations made in a now-settled federal lawsuit filed by Ventura in November.
The footage, compiled from multiple camera angles dated March 5, 2016, captures Combs in what appears to be an altercation with Ventura at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles. The video shows Combs aggressively throwing Ventura to the floor, kicking her while she is down, and shoving her as she tries to gather her belongings.
Ventura, a model and singer known for songs like “Me & U,” reached an undisclosed settlement with Combs and declined to comment on the video obtained by CNN. The lawsuit, filed in November, detailed disturbing allegations of abuse, including physical violence and forced engagement in various sex acts with other men.
Combs, through his attorney Ben Brafman, vehemently denied the claims in the lawsuit. The suit was settled the following day, with Brafman emphasizing that the settlement was not an admission of wrongdoing on Combs’ part.
Since November, Combs has faced multiple civil lawsuits accusing him of various illegal activities, including sexual misconduct. Authorities conducted searches at his homes in California and Florida as part of a federal investigation related to these allegations. Combs has denied all accusations and has vowed to continue fighting to clear his name.
The ongoing legal issues surrounding Combs highlight the importance of holding individuals accountable for their actions, especially in cases of abuse and misconduct. As the investigation continues, the public will be watching closely to see how the situation unfolds.
