I would rather invest GH₵50,000 in my soul than go for body enhancement – Celestine Donkor

Ghanaian gospel artist Celestine Donkor has spoken out against the trend of body enhancement among female celebrities in the entertainment industry.

During an appearance on Hitz FM’s morning show, Daybreak Hitz, Celestine expressed her belief that it is more important to invest in things that nourish the soul rather than altering one’s physical appearance.

She emphasized that our bodies are temporary and will eventually perish, whereas the soul is eternal. Celestine cautioned against prioritizing external beauty over spiritual well-being, noting that a beautiful body holds no value once life has ended.

However, Celestine acknowledged that there are exceptions, such as individuals with health issues that necessitate surgical intervention. She emphasized the importance of maintaining good health and wellness, indicating that surgery can be justified if it is a matter of life or death.

Despite being a woman of a fuller figure, Celestine highlighted that she is active, healthy, and confident in her own skin. She is currently gearing up for the release of her 9th studio album and has already dropped two singles, including ‘Come and See’ featuring Piesie Esther and ‘God’, a song in collaboration with Perez Musik and Raphiya for the International Central Gospel Church’s theme for 2024.
