Anansa Sims, born on December 27, 1978, in New York, New York, is a model and TV personality. She is the daughter of supermodel Beverly Johnson, the first Black model to grace the cover of American Vogue.
Her late father, Danny Sims, is known for discovering the iconic Bob Marley. Following in her mother’s footsteps, Anansa pursued a career in modeling and even appeared as a special guest on America’s Next Top Model in 2012.
Aside from her modeling career, Anansa holds a master’s degree in business from UCLA. She and Matt share one child together, Ashton Joseph Barnes, born in 2018 after the couple got engaged in 2022.
Additionally, Matt has twins from a previous relationship, and Anansa has three children from her first marriage to former NFL player David Patterson, which ended in divorce in 2017.
