Ghana Football Association (GFA) former president, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has called on the current leadership of the GFA to apologize to Ghanaians following the Black Stars’ underwhelming performance at the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
In an interview with reporters, Nyantakyi expressed his disappointment at the team’s performance, stating that it has been below par and does not reflect the quality of Ghanaian football.
He emphasized the need for the GFA to take responsibility and offer an apology to the nation for failing to meet expectations.
Nyantakyi, who led the GFA from 2005 to 2018, urged the current leadership to conduct a thorough review of the team’s performance and take necessary measures to address the shortcomings.
He also highlighted the importance of ensuring that the necessary support and resources are provided to the team in order to improve their performance in future tournaments.
