Nigerian actor Osita Iheme, popularly known as Pawpaw, recently expressed gratitude for the enduring popularity of clips from movies he starred in decades ago. In an interview with the media, the veteran actor shared that he is pleased to see how these clips, often used as memes, continue to resonate with audiences and spark conversations on social media.
“I am grateful to see that my work from so many years ago still holds value and that people appreciate it,” Iheme said. Despite the fact that some of the clips are from films shot 20 years ago, he is thankful that they still hold relevance and can be used to express emotions and sentiments today.
The 42-year-old actor, who has been a prominent figure in the Nigerian film industry since the early 2000s, first gained fame alongside his colleague Chinedu Ikedieze after their roles in the 2003 film “Aki na Ukwa.” He went on to star in a number of successful films, including “Mr Ibu,” “Baby Police,” “Daddy Must Obey,” “Two Rats,” and “Village Rascals.”
