Renowned veteran cartoonist and producer, Wale Adenuga, MFR, was recently featured as a panelist at a workshop focused on the impact of editorial cartooning. The event, titled ‘Sketch and Satire: The Art and Impact of Editorial Cartooning’, was organized by the United States of America Consulate General.
Adenuga, known for his iconic works like ‘Papa Ajasco and Company’ and ‘Superstory’, was selected for his significant contributions to the world of cartooning. His past works, including ‘Binta’ and ‘Ikebe Super’, have left a lasting impact in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
During the workshop, Adenuga expressed his gratitude for being part of the event, stating, “I am honoured to be one of the panelists at this distinguished event, which celebrates the art of cartooning and the strategic use of comedy for development. It is always a joy of mine to share my experience with emerging creatives.”
In addition to sharing his knowledge, Adenuga also presented copies of his recent book, ‘An Unusual Biography: Wale Adenuga MFR; A Pencil in the Hand of the Creator’, to participants and special guests, including award-winning cartoonist Barbara Brandon-Croft from the US.
