VfL Bochum’s preparations for their upcoming home match against RB Leipzig have been dealt a blow as winger Christopher Antwi-Adjei continues to struggle with muscle injuries.
The 30-year-old Ghanaian missed the previous game against Mönchengladbach and is unlikely to be fit in time for the Leipzig clash.
Antwi-Adjei’s absence will be sorely felt by VfL Bochum, as they will be without his skill and experience on the left wing.
Coach Thomas Letsch now has the tough task of finding a suitable replacement for Antwi-Adjei as they aim to secure a positive result against Leipzig.
In the last game, Letsch turned to Ghanaian striker Moritz-Broni Kwarteng to provide an attacking spark, but Kwarteng was unable to make a significant impact.
Antwi-Adjei has been a key player for VfL Bochum this season, making 20 appearances, scoring one goal, and providing two assists in the Bundesliga.
