Hearts of Oak’s Public Relations Officer, Kwame Opare Addo, has expressed optimism for an improved second round performance in the Ghana Premier League.
The Accra-based club is set to kick off their second round campaign with a home match against RTU at the Accra Sports Stadium this Sunday.
Having garnered only four wins out of 17 matches in the first round, with 11 draws and 4 losses, Hearts of Oak currently occupies the 11th position on the league table with 21 points.
With just a four-point lead over the relegation zone and 11 points away from table-toppers FC Samartex, the Phobians are looking to turn things around in the second half of the season.
In anticipation of the upcoming game, Opare Addo urged the fans to come out in numbers to support the team at the stadium.
“We will have tickets available at the gate, so we encourage all Phobians to come and rally behind the team in this crucial first game of the second round,” he stated in an interview with Asempa FM.
“After a challenging first round, we are determined to make the second round much better.”
