Hearts of Oak streets ahead of other clubs in Ghana – Togbe Afede

Togbe Afede, the board chairman of Hearts of Oak, has expressed his confidence in the club’s facilities, stating that they are ahead of other clubs in the country.

His remarks come after a group of fans staged a demonstration against the board, demanding its dissolution.

Togbe expressed his confusion regarding the fans’ demands, questioning what more the club could do to meet their expectations.

“What do they want that we haven’t done? We’ve done everything. After all this the only thing that Hearts don’t have is a stadium,” he said.

“We are streets ahead of all our counterparts. I would even say that we will come out as one of the very best in the whole of the subregion.

“So sometimes it is difficult to know what they really want. So it leads you to believe that they just don’t want the progress of this club unfortunately, only sorry to say.”

Despite Togbe’s confidence in the club’s facilities, the team’s on-field performance has not matched their off-field progress. In the over decade that Togbe has been in charge, the club has secured just one league title and two FA Cups.
