Ghanaian midfielder, Michael Baidoo, has committed his future to Swedish top-flight football club, Elfsborg, by signing a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2027.
After joining Elfsborg in January 2022 from Norwegian club Sandnes Ulf, the 24-year-old has established himself as a key player for the Yellow and Blacks, delivering impressive performances over the past two seasons.
Elfsborg announced the contract extension in an official statement on Saturday, expressing their satisfaction with the new deal. “IF Elfsborg is pleased to announce that the club, together with Michael Baidoo, has reached an agreement on a contract extension. The midfielder has signed a new deal that will run until the end of the 2027 season,” the statement read.
Baidoo’s impact on the team has been notable, with 14 goals and 9 assists in 54 competitive matches since his arrival. His versatility and skill on the field have made him an essential part of the Elfsborg squad.
The Ghanaian midfielder’s European journey began in 2017 when he made the move from Vision FC to Danish side Midtjylland, marking the start of what has been a promising career abroad.
With Baidoo’s contract extension, Elfsborg has secured the services of a talented midfielder who will continue to play a crucial role in their pursuit of success in the upcoming seasons.
