Ghanaian sensation Jeremie Frimpong put in a stellar performance to help Bayer Leverkusen secure a victory over FC Heidenheim on Saturday afternoon.
Coming off an impressive 2-1 win over Bayern Munich in week 22 of the German Bundesliga, the Dutch international was deployed as a right-wing back for his team.
The 21-year-old opened the scoring with a stunning goal in the 45 +2 minute of the match. Frimpong struck the ball with his left foot from the center of the box, slotting it into the bottom right corner.
Teammate Amine Adli added a second goal for Bayer Leverkusen in the 81st minute with a left-footed shot from the center of the box, set up by Florian Wirtz with a precise through ball.
Despite a late goal from the home side’s Tim Kleindienst in the 86th minute, Bayer Leverkusen managed to hold on to their lead and seal the victory.
Having made 21 appearances, scored seven goals, and assisted six in the Bundesliga this season, Jeremie Frimpong continues to prove himself as a force to be reckoned with in the league.
