The manager of Ghanaian artiste Stonebwoy, Chief Abiola, revealed in an interview with Hitz FM that Stonebwoy had paid more than GH₵70,000 to the National Sports Authority to secure the Accra Sports Stadium for his 5th Dimension Concert on December 22, 2023.
This contradicted the account given by the Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Peter Twumasi, who had stated that Stonebwoy had paid GH₵70,000.
Speaking on the matter, Chief Abiola clarified that the amount paid was actually higher than GH₵70,000, but he did not want to disclose the exact figure at that time.
Twumasi has received criticism for renting out the Accra Sports Stadium for concerts in December 2023.

The NSA had announced that the stadium would be unavailable for sporting purposes during December, with clubs being asked to host their Ghana Premier League home games elsewhere.
When Twumasi appeared before the Public Account Committee, he defended the decision, stating that all stakeholders were informed that the stadium would be used for non-sporting events in December, and the revenue generated from these events would cover the costs.
