Not content with just scoring, Paintsil continued to excel throughout the game, setting up a crucial assist just before halftime. He skillfully assisted Dejan Joveljic, who coolly finished from inside the area, extending LA Galaxy’s lead to 2-0 and leaving San Jose Earthquakes struggling.
Even after halftime, Paintsil remained a pivotal figure in LA Galaxy’s attacking play, playing a key role in the team’s third goal, scored by Riqui Puig.
Paintsil’s outstanding performance impressed the fans, earning him a standing ovation as he was substituted after 63 minutes, with Gabriel Pec coming on to replace him.
