Ghanaian star Thomas Partey is set to leave Arsenal Football Club after the 2023-2024 season.
Partey’s departure is due to ongoing injuries, as reported by Daily Mirror Football Reporter Ryan Taylor.
The midfielder last played for Arsenal on October 24, 2023, as he struggled with a persistent muscle injury that kept fans waiting for updates on his recovery.
Partey was unable to represent Ghana at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast due to his injury.
This marks the first time Partey has missed an AFCON since his debut in 2016, having played in three consecutive tournaments – 2017, 2019, and 2021.
“Thomas Partey had a little setback a few days ago, unfortunately he’s not available,” Arteta said ahead of Liverpool clash.
“Whether it is a matter of days or weeks, we will see. He felt something again in a very similar area,” he added.
The 30-year-old has only made four appearances in the English Premier League this season.
