The Minister for Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, has stressed the need for all stakeholders to collaborate in finding solutions to address the declining state of football in Ghana.
During his address to Parliament on Wednesday, February 14, the Minister highlighted the importance of engaging with stakeholders to implement measures that would lead to a national dialogue involving all parties.
According to Mustapha Ussif, implementing modern and inclusive ways to manage the various Ghana national teams will be beneficial.
In response to a petition presented to him by the organizers of the ‘Save Ghana Football Demonstration’, the Minister assured that the issues raised have been taken seriously.
“Today, I received a petition from the organizers of the ‘Save Ghana Football Demonstration.’ I appreciate the concerns raised by the demonstrators and assure you that we are taking them seriously. We will engage with the leadership of the group to understand their grievances and work towards finding lasting solutions,” the Sports Minister said.
Mustapha Ussif also stated, “Your voices have been heard, and together, we will work towards revitalizing Ghanaian football for the benefit of all. Thank you for your passion and commitment to our beloved sport. #SaveGhanaFootball.”
Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association is in the process of appointing a new head coach for the Black Stars as part of efforts to revive the male senior national team.
