Maxwell Konadu, coach of Nsoatreman FC, has pointed to a lack of concentration from his players as the reason for their defeat against Hearts of Oak.
Hearts of Oak secured a come-from-behind victory at the Nana Koramansah Park on Sunday during week 19 of the Ghana Premier League.
The home team took the lead with a goal from Walid Neymah Fuseini in the 23rd minute.
However, goals from Salifu Ibrahim and Kasim Cisse helped Hearts of Oak secure all three points.
Speaking after the match, Konadu blamed his team’s loss on a lack of focus.
“It was a tough game. I believe that in the second half, we lost concentration because the instructions were clear. My midfielders were given specific roles, but they did not adhere to them, resulting in us conceding a goal. When you leave your defense open, you are vulnerable. We had possession and were looking to score, but everyone abandoned their positions, and we were punished on the counterattack,” he explained.
“In the first ten minutes, my players did not follow instructions, which is why we were constantly shouting during the game. We will analyze our performance and make sure we rectify our mistakes in future matches,” Konadu added.
As it stands, Nsoatreman FC currently occupies the 5th position on the Ghana Premier League table with 30 points.
