Kasim Ocansey Mingle, the tactician for Nations FC, is aiming to win the Ghana Premier League title this season.
The club, based in Abrankese, has had an impressive start in their maiden Ghana Premier League campaign, with 8 wins, 3 draws, and 6 losses in the first half of the season. Despite a difficult start, Nations FC managed to finish fourth after the first round of the domestic top-flight.
Following the closure of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, the Premier League is set to resume this weekend. However, Nations FC’s game against Dreams FC in the week 18 fixture has been postponed due to the latter’s involvement in the CAF Confederations Cup this weekend.
Looking ahead to the start of the second round, Mingle has expressed his determination for his side to win the Ghana Premier League title at the end of the season.
He stated, “We will win the league if the opportunity comes but if we are unable to win it we will ensure we finish in a respectable position.
It’s football, we have to aim high. All clubs competing in the league ultimate aim is to win it so we are aiming at that.”
