Ghanaian defender Nathaniel Adjei has expressed his delight at securing a loan move to Ligue 1 side FC Lorient, which will see him at the club until the end of the 2023/24 season.
The 21-year-old player has described the move as a significant step forward in his professional career.
Following in the footsteps of Eben Dugbatey, the Ayew brothers, and Alhassan Wakaso, Nathaniel Adjei becomes the fifth Ghanaian to join the ranks of Lorient.
“It’s a great opportunity for me to sign for Merlus and to discover Ligue 1, a championship which has seen many Ghanaians play there. By joining FC Lorient, I am taking a step forward in my career,” stated Nathaniel Adjei.
He further added, “I will continue my progress and strengthen myself at the highest level through contact with my new teammates.
The challenge that awaits us is important but I will do everything to achieve the end of season objective.”
Nathaniel Adjei will be donning the number 32 jersey and is expected to join the first team training today.
