Ghana’s Premier League champions, Medeama, are gearing up for an intense face-off against African powerhouse Al Ahly in a vital CAF Champions League showdown slated for Friday.
Moses Parker, the financier of Medeama, has revealed the team’s state of readiness and has outlined the logistical arrangements for the arrival of Al Ahly.
Speaking in an interview with Peace FM, Parker disclosed that Al Ahly’s advance team will touch down in Accra before making the journey by road to Kumasi, where the Baba Yara Stadium eagerly anticipates the much-anticipated clash.
“Al Ahly will come to Ghana; their advance team will arrive in Accra; they will travel by road to Kumasi, and we will provide them with a vehicle. There will be two of them. The team itself will arrive on Wednesday; they will not land in Accra; instead, they will arrive at the Kumasi Airport. That is the schedule,” Parker detailed, illustrating the comprehensive plans put in place for the visiting team.
Revealing Medeama’s level of preparedness, Parker assured that his team is more than ready for the challenge. Highlighting their recent preparations, he mentioned a friendly match against Nations FC at the Kumasi Sports Stadium, where Medeama secured a 1-0 victory.
“Medeama is fully prepared. We are eagerly anticipating the arrival of our opponents. We recently played a friendly match against Nations FC at the Kumasi Sports Stadium and emerged victorious with a 1-0 scoreline. We have completed that friendly match and are now focusing solely on preparations for the upcoming showdown on Friday,” Parker emphasized, underlining the team’s unwavering focus on the upcoming fixture.
