The outspoken social commentator, Kwame A Plus, has made a strong call for the disbandment of the Ghana Football Association.
A Plus firmly believes that the Ghana Football Association is at the root of the problems facing Ghanaian football.
He pointed out that instead of addressing key issues, the association has a history of sacking coaches.
In an interview with Asempa FM, A Plus emphasized that tackling the issues within the Ghana Football Association is crucial to resolving the challenges faced by Ghanaian football.
According to A Plus, “The problem is not with the players, it is the Ghana Football Association that we must disband. The problem lies within the association. Since the days of players like Baba Yara, there has been a continuous cycle of sacking coaches. This is why incidents like Sulley Muntari’s altercation with an official occur and are not fully understood by Ghanaians.”
A Plus also highlighted that there is discontent among the players, as some feel that certain individuals on the team do not deserve their spots.
A Plus’s strong stance is in response to Ghana’s disappointing performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, where the Black Stars failed to progress past the group stage of the tournament.
