Heart of Lions President Randy Abbey has expressed determination to build on their recent victory over Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.
In a tightly contested game, Godfred Kwadwo Asamoah’s goal secured a 1-0 win for Heart of Lions against the Porcupine Warriors.
Following the victory, Abbey, who is also a member of the GFA ExCO, emphasized the team’s desire to use this win as a platform for future success.
Reflecting on the game, Abbey stated, “It was a high-quality match showcasing the best of Premier League football. Our determination to secure the win was evident.”
Under the guidance of coach Bashir Hayford, Heart of Lions has now won three out of their last four matches, a significant improvement from their initial struggles that saw them wait until the fourteenth game for their first victory.
Despite climbing out of the bottom of the league table, Heart of Lions still find themselves in the relegation zone, just two points away from safety.
Their next challenge will be against Great Olympics on Sunday, March 3, in match week 19 of the Ghana Premier League.
