Kojo Addae-Mensah, the Chief Executive of Databank, has been appointed to lead the GFA’s specialized five-member quest panel in the search for the new head coach of the Black Stars.
The committee, headed by GFA Vice President Mark Addo, also includes Professor Joseph Mintah, Chief Director of the Sports Ministry, William Caesar Kartey, and Ghanaian football legend Opoku Nti.
The GFA has given the committee a three-week timeframe to recommend the next Black Stars coach to the Executive Council for approval.
Following the departure of Chris Hughton, who was unable to lead the Black Stars beyond the group stages in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, the search for a new head coach has been ongoing.
According to a recent statement from the Ghana Football Association, potential applicants have until February 2, 2024, to submit their candidacy for the vacant position.
The GFA has outlined five criteria that the new head coach must meet, including a minimum of 15 years of coaching experience, to take on the role of Black Stars head coach.
