Ghana’s Kamaldeen Sulemana made a late appearance for Southampton in their recent 3-1 defeat against Bristol City.

The 21-year-old winger came off the bench in the 74th minute to replace Joe Rothwell, but his efforts were not enough to help his team avoid the loss.

Despite returning from injury over the weekend, Kamaldeen has only played in 15 games this season, providing three assists in the Championship.

Southampton’s defeat marks their first loss in 25 games in all competitions, ending a record-breaking run that dates back to 23 September.

Bristol City scored three second-half goals, with Sam Bell, Rob Dickie, and Harry Cornick finding the back of the net. This loss saw Southampton slip to third in the table, as Leeds United’s 4-0 win at Swansea lifted them to second place.

Meanwhile, Liam Manning’s Bristol City moved into the top half of the table for the first time this season, climbing to 11th place after ending a run of four home games without a win.
