Ghana’s Joesph Adjei was shown a red card during Mohammedan Sporting’s 3-0 loss to Real Kashmir at the Naihati Bankimanjali Stadium in West Bengal on Sunday, February 4.
The first twenty minutes of the game saw no clear-cut chances for either team.
However, Mohammedan Sporting players found their momentum as the game progressed, creating more opportunities and feeding off the energy of the crowd.
Real Kashmir’s Gnohere Krizo netted two goals, with Shaher Shaheen opening the scoring. All three goals came in the second half. Adjei was sent off in the second half after picking up his second yellow card for reacting to a tackle.
The result pushed Real Kashmir into second place in the second division standings, with 23 points from 12 matches, having secured seven wins, two draws, and three defeats. The loss for Mohammedan Sporting keeps them at the top of the table with 27 points from 12 matches (8 wins, 3 draws, and 1 defeat).
