Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew has expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance in Monday’s Premier League game against Everton at Goodison Park. The 32-year-old scored a stunning goal to give the Eagles the lead after the hour mark, but a late equalizer from Amadou Onana denied Palace a much-needed victory.
Despite his impressive goal, Ayew chose to focus on the team’s overall performance, stating, “I thank God and I thank the team for the effort they put in. I don’t want to talk too much about my goal, but the most important thing for me is the team, and we’re happy to go home with a point.”
Following this draw, Crystal Palace remains out of the relegation zone in the English Premier League standings. Additionally, the team is preparing for a new era under the leadership of recently appointed manager, Oliver Glasner, who will be replacing Roy Hodgson.
Hodgson, who signed Ayew for Palace in 2018, played a significant role in the Ghanaian forward’s development. Now, Ayew is looking ahead to playing under Glasner’s guidance and continuing to contribute to the team’s success on the pitch.
