Ghanaian football fans will be happy to hear that national team player Joseph Aidoo is well on the road to recovery after suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon last October.
The injury occurred during a friendly match between Ghana and Mexico, and after thorough examination by Celta Vigo’s medical team, it was determined that Aidoo would need at least six months to get back to full health.
A club statement from Celta Vigo provided more details, saying that Aidoo underwent successful surgery to reconstruct the tendon and that the defender would need to remain sidelined for a minimum of 6-7 months.
However, after just three months, Aidoo has already made significant progress in his recovery. He has begun strength work in the pool and is expected to start training in the gym in the coming weeks to continue his rehabilitation.
