Ghanaian footballer Joseph Paintsil has expressed his deep emotional connection to KRC Genk as he embarks on a new chapter of his career with Major League Soccer (MLS) side LA Galaxy.
The Black Stars forward completed his move to the LA Galaxy on Wednesday, February 21, as a Designated Player, signing a four-year contract through the end of the 2027 MLS season.
In a heartfelt post on social media, Paintsil bid farewell to KRC Genk, acknowledging the impact the club, its players, and the fans have had on him.
“To my teammates – Thank you for the countless hours of training, the shared victories, and the moments of resilience in defeat. Together, we’ve smiled, cried, and fought side by side. The connection we’ve formed will last a lifetime, and I am forever grateful for the moments we’ve shared. Genk will always hold a special place in my heart,” said the 26-year-old.
He added, “The memories, the victories, the defeats, and the lessons learnt have shaped me into the person I am today. I will always carry the spirit of Genk with me. Thank You!”
