Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku is determined to ensure that the Black Stars qualify for every World Cup tournament during his tenure.
Since making their debut appearance at the World Cup in 2006, the Black Stars have missed out on the prestigious tournament once.
However, Okraku has set his sights on leading the Black Stars to the biggest soccer event on a regular basis.
“I want our Black Stars to be at every global mundial at every given opportunity,” he said.
“I call on you to support us to qualify for the World Cup in USA, Mexico, and Canada. Again, collectively, with your support, we shall get there,” he added.
The West African giants began the 2026 World Cup qualifications with a win and defeat against Madagascar and Comoros, respectively.
Ghana secured a narrow win over Madagascar at the Baba Yara Stadium before suffering a defeat against Comoros.
Comoros once again emerged victorious against Ghana, securing back-to-back wins against the Black Stars in recent meetings.
In the matchday two clash of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers held at the Stade Malouzini in Moroni, the Coelacanths triumphed over the Black Stars with a narrow 1-0 victory.
Comoros currently leads the Group I standings with a perfect record of 6 points from two games.
At the ‘Meet the Press’ event in Kumasi, Okraku emphasized the need for the Black Stars to qualify for every World Cup event and has therefore vowed to do his best to ensure Ghana’s qualification for the global showpiece.
