The President of Medeama Sporting Club, Moses Armah Parker, has made a bold promise to his players if they manage to defeat Al Ahly, the Egyptian footballing giants.
Medeama SC, who are the reigning champions of the Ghana Premier League, are set to host Al Ahly on Friday, February 23, in a crucial CAF Champions League fixture.
Parker has revealed that he has prepared a significant reward package for his players in a bid to motivate them to secure a victory over the formidable Egyptian side.
“Medeama is going all out for this game, and it means a lot to us. We have achieved such a feat in the past, most notably in 2015 when we defeated TP Mazembe at Essipong. We are confident of repeating history this Friday by shocking Ghanaians with a win over Al Ahly and securing qualification in Algeria,” Parker stated.
“I won’t outright predict a win, but we will go all out in pursuit of it through positive means. And what’s more, we need the support of all Ghanaians. I have a substantial reward package for the players if they emerge victorious on Friday. While I can’t disclose the exact bonus, I can assure you that it is larger than what the FA proposed for the Black Stars,” he continued.
The highly anticipated CAF Champions League clash between Medeama SC and Al Ahly is set to take place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and is scheduled to kick off at 4 pm.
