Randy Abbey, a member of the Ghana Football Association Executive Council, has commended the quality of football exhibited in Heart of Lions’ recent 1-0 victory over Asante Kotoko.
The President of Heart of Lions expressed his satisfaction with the performance of both teams in the Ghana Premier League week 18 match last Sunday, describing it as a positive representation of Ghanaian football.
Abbey highlighted the determination displayed by his team during the game, emphasizing that their victory was well-deserved.
Speaking to Max TV, Abbey stated, “It was a very good game. It was a good exhibition of Premier League football. I think that we were very determined to win.”
He added, “We wanted to return to Kpando with a victory, setting the stage for more successful outcomes in the future.”
Following the win, Heart of Lions secured their third victory in four games under the leadership of Bashir Hayford, who took over the team after a challenging start to the season.
Although the team has moved up from the bottom of the league standings for the first time in several weeks, they are still in the relegation zone, trailing two points behind safety.
Heart of Lions will face Great Olympics in their upcoming match on Sunday, March 3, as they aim to secure crucial points in match week 19.
