Ghanian midfielder, Stephen Acquah, made his mark for Namdhari FC during their recent match against Inter Kashi in the Indian I-League.
Namdhari FC suffered a 4-1 loss in the game which took place at the Ekana Football Stadium on Sunday, during round 16 of the Indian league.
Edmund Lalrindika, with an assist from Mario Villa, scored the first goal for the home side in the third minute of the game. Deepak Devrani then added a second goal in the 14th minute after being set up by Lalrindika.
Stephen Acquah managed to bring hope to Namdhari FC by halving the deficit with a goal in the 36th minute, thanks to an assist from Sehnaj Singh. This resulted in a 2-1 score at the end of the first half.
After the break, Mario Vila received a pass from Jordan Lamela and scored once again in the 52nd minute, bringing the score to 3-1 in favor of the hosts.
With just ten minutes left in the game, Vila scored once more, cementing the victory for the home team and securing a 4-1 win over Namdhari FC.
Stephen Acquah’s goal was his first of the season, coming after four appearances for Namdhari FC.
