Ghanaian footballer Richard Boadu has expressed his delight after helping Al Ahly Benghazi to a victory over Al Sadaqa in the Libyan Premier League.
Boadu, who previously played for Asante Kotoko, was instrumental in the match on Wednesday as Al Ahly Benghazi took on their opponents in the 12th round of the Libyan top-flight.
The 25-year-old player scored the only goal of the game, securing a win for Al Ahly Benghazi over Sadaqa.
His winning goal came in the 93rd minute, earning his team three crucial points in the highly anticipated clash. This was Boadu’s first goal since he joined the club last summer.
Following the game, Boadu took to social media to express his excitement, stating, “My first goal of the season and very important goal at that time of the game🙌🏽… Alhamdulillah +3 today. We focus on the next games”
Since joining Al Ahly Benghazi from Asante Kotoko in August 2023, Boadu has become an integral part of the team’s midfield.
Al Ahly Benghazi currently holds the second position on the Libyan League table with 25 points after 12 games. They are three points behind the league leaders, Al Nasr.
