Ghanaian talent Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is determined to assist Leicester City in their quest for promotion to the English Premier League.
The 19-year-old made a significant impact in the team’s recent victory over Sheffield Wednesday, helping them to extend their lead at the top of the league table by 12 points.
Issahaku was responsible for opening the scoring, with veteran striker Jamie Vardy sealing the win for the former Premier League champions.
Following the game, Issahaku expressed his delight at the result and emphasized his focus on helping the team secure promotion to the top-flight.
“I feel amazing,” he said. “This is what the coach always asks us to do. I’m happy for tonight.”
The young talent showcased his skill by controlling a cross with his chest and firing home in the fourth minute, demonstrating his strong form since returning from suspension.
“If you see it from outside, you might think it’s easy, but it’s so difficult. I just needed to be calm to put it in. That’s what I did. The way the coach gives us the room, it makes it easier for us,” he added.
Issahaku remains focused on the team’s goal of returning to the Premier League, stating, “We are always ready. We have something big to aim for. We are just going to keep going, keep the focus, keep winning, and we’ll see what happens.”
“We have focus. Every game is the same for us. We want to always be on top of the league and this is what we have to do to keep on going.”
