Ghana’s U20 national football team, the Black Satellites, are currently in intense preparations for the upcoming African Games.
The team recently secured a resounding 5-0 victory in a friendly match against Division One League side Kings Palace at the Akotex Park in Akosombo.
Despite a goalless first half, the Black Satellites put in a stellar performance in the second half, with goals from Abdul Aziz Issah, Abdul Hakeem, Michael Ephson, and Jerry Afriyie’s brace propelling the team to victory.
The win comes as the team continues to hone their skills and sharpen their rough edges ahead of the African Games, which is set to kick off on March 8, 2024, in Accra.
Ghana has the honor of hosting the African Games, with the hopes of topping the medal table at the multi-sport event, which will run from March 8 to 22.
The Black Satellites have been drawn in Group A alongside Congo, Benin, and Gambia, and are determined to make a strong showing in the tournament.
